Cookie policy
Houzie uses one cookie, and only to make the site work. We don't use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file that a website saves in your browser. Cookies can remember things between pages, such as whether you're signed in.
The cookie we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
houzie_session | Keeps forms secure (for example when you send a review or list a business), remembers messages such as "Thanks for your review", and keeps you signed in if you have a customer, trader or admin account. | Strictly necessary | Until you close your browser |
Because this cookie is strictly necessary for the site to work, UK law doesn't require us to ask for your consent, so you won't see a cookie banner.
Things we don't use
- No advertising or marketing cookies
- No analytics or tracking cookies
- No social media tracking pixels
- Our fonts are stored on our own server, so your visit isn't shared with Google Fonts
If we ever add analytics or any other non-essential cookies, we'll update this page and ask for your permission first.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the Houzie cookie, browsing still works, but sending forms won't.
