These terms apply to everyone who uses houzie.co.uk, which is run by Houzie. By using the site you agree to them.

Houzie is a directory

Houzie lists independent local businesses. We are not a party to any agreement between you and a business, we don't carry out any work, and we don't guarantee the quality, pricing or availability of any business listed. Before work starts, please check a business's insurance, accreditations and written quote yourself. A Verified badge means we have checked the business's contact details and the documents they sent us at the time. It is not a guarantee of their work.

Listing your business

• You must run or be authorised to represent the business you list, and the information you give must be accurate and kept up to date.
• You must hold any registrations legally required for your work, such as Gas Safe registration for gas work.
• We decide which listings to publish, and we may edit, suspend or remove any listing at any time.
• Featured placement is advertising and is clearly labelled as such.

Review guidelines

• Reviews must be about your own genuine experience as a customer of the business.
• Businesses must not review themselves or competitors, or offer incentives for reviews.
• No abusive, discriminatory or defamatory content, and no personal information about others.
• We check every review before it is published, and we may decline or remove reviews that break these rules. See our full review policy.

Our liability

We work hard to keep Houzie accurate, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your dealings with a business found on Houzie. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
